L.I.N.K. is...
- A parent-led, non-denominational, Christian Homeschool group
- Offering support and encouragement in a Christ-centered environment to homeschoolers
- Serving home educators in the northern Leavenworth county, including Atchison, Fort Leavenworth, Leavenworth, Lansing, Easton and beyond
- Numerous families participating from the surrounding area
L.I.N.K. offers....
- Monthly Field Trips
- A 9-week Co-op -Friday mornings 9:00-12:00 which meets at Calvary Baptist church at 4451 10th Avenue, Leavenworth, Kansas.
- Membership family dues are $50/semester
- Co-op Calendar in the Fall runs from 11 September thru 20 November and then take a winter break. Spring semester runs from 12 February to 23 April (this is 3 weeks on and 1 week off for a total of 9 weeks of classes)
- Kids are grouped by ages (0-2, 3-5, 6-9, 10-13 and 14-18 years old. Some classes are 10 and up or 12 and up too)
- Parents volunteer to teach and assist each semester
- Two 1 hour classes are offered with a 30 min. 'Recess' between the two class hours
- Co-op class fees are based on the Teacher supply needs and typically range from $0-10/class/student
- Co-op families are also responsible for helping with end of day clean-up.
- LINK Co-op Registration is end of August for the Fall semester and end of January for the Spring semester each year!
- We have a get to know each other orientation before the start of each fall semester.
- Field day fun is after our last class at beginning of May at the end of the spring semester!
