L.I.N.K.
Learning and Instructing
in Northeast Kansas

L.I.N.K. is...
  • A parent-led, non-denominational, Christian Homeschool group
  • Offering support and encouragement in a Christ-centered environment to homeschoolers
  • Serving home educators in the northern Leavenworth county, including Atchison, Fort Leavenworth, Leavenworth, Lansing and beyond
  • Numerous families participating from the surrounding area
  • A cluster group of Midwest Parent Educators Home school group (based in Kansas City) which offers a discount to members who wish to enroll in HSLDA, the Homeschool Legal Defense Association.


L.I.N.K. offers....
  • Monthly Field Trips
  • A 9-week Co-op -Friday mornings 9:00-12:15  which meets at Calvary Baptist church at 4451 10th Avenue, Leavenworth, Kansas
  • Curriculum Library (available at the Chalkboard Farm at 525 Dawson Street, Easton, Kansas just 15 minutes from Leavenworth located next to the bee farm, Hillside Honey Apiary)
  • 'LINK-ed' Homeschool Teens / Young Adults Fellowship
    • Starting this Spring, first and third Monday afternoons 2:30-4:30pm (beginning in March 7th thru May 16th)
  • Teen and Young Adult Formal Spring Fling
    • Progressive dinner, Scavenger Hunt and Activities
  • Mom's Socials (A variety of activities and fellowship ideas)
  • Park dates
  • Spring Curriculum sale

L.I.N.K. requirements....
  • Membership family dues are $50/semester
  • Co-op Calendar runs from September thru November (this is 3 weeks on and 1 week off)
    • Ages are grouped by ages (0-2, 3-5, 6-9, 10-13 and 14-18 years old)
    • Parents volunteer to teach or assist for 2 hours and facilitate during 'Recess' hour
    • Co-op classes fees are based on the Teacher supply needs and typically range from $0-10/class/student
    • Co-op families are also responsible for helping during clean-up.
L.I.N.K. timeline.....
  • LINK Co-op Registration is in August for the Fall semester and February for the Spring semester each year!
  • Field day is in May
