These are the purposes of the Learning and Instructing in Northeast Kansas (LINK) : to
provide Christ-centered fellowship and activities to home educating families
throughout the Northeast Kansas area; to reach out to all Christian
homeschooling families, providing them with information as to what the area
communities have to offer for homeschooling; to unite the experience of seasoned
homeschoolers with the enthusiasm of novice homeschoolers; to provide
homeschooling families with friendships and encouragement in an effort to
enhance their home school endeavors; to be available to any person, family, or
group that expresses a desire for information and/or education about
homeschooling and what it involves; and to glorify Jesus Christ in all that we do.
Article II:
Statement of Faith
We believe that the Bible is God’s written revelation to man and it is verbally
inspired, authoritative, and without error in the original manuscripts.
(2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:21; John 10:35; Matthew 5:18).
We believe in the deity of God's only son, Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, sinless
life, miracles, death on the cross to provide for our redemption, resurrection,
bodily ascension into Heaven, present ministry of intercession for us,
and His return to earth in power and glory.
(John 1:1,14; Luke 1:26-38; 2 Corinthians 5:21; John 6:18; Romans 3:24;
Matthew 28:6; Hebrews 8:1; Hebrews 7:25; Acts 1:11; Luke 21:27).
We believe in God's Holy Spirit, making possible the miraculous conception of the son of God, Jesus, in the
flesh, the performance of the miracle of the new birth in an unbeliever and indwelling of believers through Christ, enabling them to live a Godly life. We believe in the fruits and gifts of God's Holy Spirit.
(Matthew 1:20; Luke 1:31-33; John 1:1-2; Acts 5:3,4; Titus 3:5; Romans 8:9;
Galatians 5:22-23; Ephesians 5:8-10; Ephesians 4:30).
We believe that man was created in the image of God, but because of sin was alienated from God. That
alienation can be removed only by accepting through faith God’s gift of salvation which was
made possible by Christ’s death and resurrection.
(Genesis 1:26-27; Romans 3:23, 5:8, 8:1; John 3:16-19, 5:24)
For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith- and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God- not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. (Ephesians 2:8-10)
Marriage of one man and one woman is a sacred institution.
Marriage and families are ordained and defined by God at creation.
(Genesis 1:27-28, 2:20-24, Malachi 2:14-16, Matthew 19:4-6).
Sexuality is inherent in God’s creation of human beings in His image as male and female. Husbands and wives are called to exclusive sexual fidelity to one another and single persons are called to abstinence. God intends and enables all people to live within these boundaries, with the help of the Holy Spirit and in fellowship of the church.
(Matthew 19:4-6, Mark 10:6-9, 12)
Article III:
Statement of Unity
We believe in the spiritual unity of believers, as the Body of Christ, through our common faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, and that individual doctrinal differences which may exist, should not hinder the unity of Christian home educators.
(1 Corinthians 12:4-7,11-27; Romans 12:4-5; Ephesians 3:6; Ephesians 4:11-16,30-32; Acts 15:8-9).
Those who cease to agree with the doctrinal statement or abide by the covenant and policies or in some way bring disrepute to the organization shall be Biblically confronted by the facilitators for restoration. If unrepentant,
they shall be excluded from membership.
(Matthew 18:15-20; 1 Corinthians 5: 1-5; 2 John 9-11)
